Medal of Honor for a Civil War Hero

First Lt. Alonzo H. Cushing, who was the commander of¬†Battery A, 4th U.S. Artillery on July 3, 1863, at the height of the battle at Gettysburg, will posthumously receive the Medal of Honor, 151 years after he was killed during Pickett’s Charge.
